Fagus sylvatica 'Riversii'
The purple beech's most prominent feature is the foliage. The leaves are a deep purple and keep their color through the summer months. In the fall, the leaves turn to a copper color.
Regular watering, especially in harsh heat.
As with most plants, you will want to water this tree well when it is first planted to be sure that the roots take to the soil. Give it some love in the next spring by feeding it an all purpose fertilizer from our Garden Center!
